Online Privacy Policy

Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County (HFHSCC) recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of all information provided by donors, volunteers, partners and prospects.   HFHSCC is committed to the highest standards of integrity in all fundraising efforts and to the ethical collection, retention and use of information in the pursuit of our organizational goals.   To accomplish this, we commit to the following:

1. At your request, HFHSCC will remove you from our mailing list at any time.   We will also honor your request to receive only the newsletter and/or one solicitation per year.
   
2. Information collected and stored in our database will not be exchanged with, given to, sold to, or rented to any other organization.
   
3. Information is collected and stored in our database to track volunteer hours worked, to keep a record of addresses in order to send Habitat correspondence to donors and volunteers.
   
4. As a means of recognizing support, HFHSCC publishes the names of some donors in our newsletter and on our website.   If you would prefer anonymity, please contact our office.
   
5. We must disclose pertinent credit card information to appropriate banking institutions for those persons using credit cards to make donations to HFHSCC.   Credit card information collected by HFHSCC is used strictly for billing purposes.
   
6. Mailing information on our donors, volunteers, partners and prospects may be given to persons who need such information to provide services (i.e. companies or volunteer groups who prepare mailings for us).   Once the service is fulfilled, all information is returned to us and not retained by our contractor.
   
7. Site visitorship data is collected on an aggregate, anonymous basis, which means no personal information is associated with this data.
   
8. Please be aware the HFHSCC's website contains links to other websites and that the privacy practices of these other websites may differ from ours.   Each website is responsible for its own privacy practices.  
   
9. f HFHSCC decides to change its privacy policy, we will post the changes on our website as soon as reasonably possible.   We will indicate the date of any changes clearly.

Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County is a registered 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, publicly supported organization.   Contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
