Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County is giving many THANKS as we reflect on the 54 families we have been able to impact over the last 14 years by providing hope and homeownership. Without any United Way funding and very little funding from the government, Habitat for Humanity St. Charles works with generous sponsors – businesses, individuals and churches to continue the mission of building homes and hope in our community.
As we embark on our 15 year anniversary in 2012, we hope you will consider supporting our mission of building more homes for more low income families in need, right here in St. Charles County. We hope to be building 15 homes per year by 2015! Not only does this create growth in our community by building homes and creating tax payers, yet this tremendous program has also been known to impact the families in more ways than just providing them with a simple, decent, affordable place to live.
Over the last 14 years, we have seen homeowners obtain better paying jobs, children's grades improve, health improvements, families are now continuing their education and overall, our families have reported they are happier and more satisfied and productive because of their new home and environment. We have experienced first-hand, that Habitat for Humanity is so much more than just building homes, it's about transforming lives.
