Michelle Woods

Michelle joined the Habitat team in July of 2011 as the affiliates’ first Homeowner Support Manager.  Michelle reaches out into the community to search for families in need of affordable and decent housing.  She then leads the volunteer committee that selects new partner families.  Michelle coordinates the homeowner education/Family Support program and works with each partner family as they prepare to become homeowners.  Once in their homes, Michelle provides support, continuing education and referrals when needed.

Michelle earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Missouri State University in Springfield and her Master’s Degree in Social Work at UMSL.  She has worked with families for close to 20 years in either case management, School Social Work, or in Divorce/Custody or Juvenile Offender Mediation.

Michelle was born and raised in St. Charles County and lives in O’Fallon with her husband and two sons.  She and her husband enjoy helping the kids in Cub Scouts, and watching them play soccer.  As a family they stay busy hiking, camping, and taking trips to visit their cousins who live on a farm.
